About us
Lane Transport and Hiab is a locally owned and operated South West WA transport business run by husband-and-wife team, Joel and Jackie. Joel was born and raised in the South West and has called the region home his whole life.
With over 15 years of experience as a heavy diesel mechanic, Joel brings a wealth of hands-on mechanical knowledge and industry experience to Lane Transport and Hiab. His experience extends well beyond the workshop, with extensive experience in the transportation of heavy equipment and the operation of vehicle loading cranes, including using this equipment to assist with on-site breakdowns, component change-outs and recoveries. This knowledge carries through to the way we operate, from looking after our truck and equipment to taking care when loading, transporting and unloading our customers’ machinery and freight.
Jackie is either behind the wheel or running the day-to-day side of the business. With a background in truck driving and Hiab operation, Jackie shares the transport work with Joel and is regularly out on the road completing jobs. She also manages much of the bookings, scheduling, quotes, customer communication and administration, so there’s a good chance she’ll be the person you speak to when you call or email Lane Transport and Hiab.
One of the biggest things behind the way we run our business is simple: we want to bring good old-fashioned customer service back into everyday business. It can sometimes feel like genuine customer service is becoming harder to find, and we want our customers to know they’re dealing with real people who answer the phone, communicate clearly, turn up when they say they will and genuinely care about getting the job done properly.
As an owner-operated business, we’re involved from the first enquiry right through to delivery. The person you speak to about your job is part of the same team responsible for making sure it happens safely and professionally. We pride ourselves on being approachable, reliable and easy to deal with, while taking genuine care of the equipment and freight entrusted to us.
Our capabilities and equipment allow us to operate across a wide range of work-sites and environments. From mine sites and commercial properties to construction sites, farms and rural locations.
